Faux fur faux pas?

A few months ago I came across a bargain for a great looking coat. It was a vintage genuine rabbit fur coat. Its warm, fabulous and stylish. What more can a girl want from a coat. However, I accept that many individuals have a problem with fur. However, the rabbit died many years ago. I therefore justify my decision as I am not contributing to the mass murder of rabbits. It opens the debate about faux fur though. Is wearing faux fur the same as buying a knock off Chanel bag from Turkey....I personally believe yes it is. You wear it because you love he look but yet you know its a cheat.

Sheepskin is also another issue. Most of us now own ugg boots but never even condemn the idea that innocent sheep were killed. Especially come Autumn 2010 the Aviator look is everywhere. For instance, this season I love Burberry, if the fur and wool is being used for practicality as well as being aesthetically pleasing there is no harm. I'm open for debate but I feel that faux fur is definitely a faux pas.
